Morpheus8 stimulates collagen production for a more youthful appearance
Dr. Timothy Minton and Savannah Facial Plastic Surgery are excited to bring a revolutionizing technology to their patients that results in a more youthful appearance.
Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process.
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radio-frequency technology to reshape the tissue under the skin for total skin rejuvenation. Fractionated radio-frequency energy is a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles and rebuild collagen and fat. It is minimally-invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew deeper layers of the skin with almost no patient downtime.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck.
One of the benefits of Morpheus8 is its colorblind technology affords it to be used on any skin type.
Is it safe?
The radio-frequency energy used in Morpheus8 heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. The treatment is proven to improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.
Morpheus8 does require local anesthesia, but there are no incisions, no scarring and minimal downtown.
How many treatments will I need?
Before the in-office procedure, patients will meet with Dr. Minton for an initial consultation. Along with medical history, Dr. Minton will also develop a Morpheus8 treatment plan for you. Depending on the treatment regime, you can expect to have between one to three sessions.
Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session or a few days after other treatments.
When can I expect results?
Visible results can be seen within a few days, but most patients experience the most noticeable results after three weeks. Improvements continue for up to three months after treatment.
What can I expect after the procedure?
Dr. Minton will advise individual patients post-procedure requirements. The great thing about Morpheus8 is it requires little to no downtime.
Makeup can be applied typically one to two days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment with slight redness for up to one week; however, both will fade and there’s no permanent scarring.
Patients also should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended patients use sunscreen every day.
